Bruce Shepherd is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Professor, 3rd degree under Marcelo Ferreira. Professor Shepherd is an official US representative of Professor Ferreira who is a 6th degree Black Belt Professor under Francisco “Chico” Mansor. Professor Mansor of the Kioto Academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is one of Helio Gracie’s original black belts.

Professor Shepherd has been a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1993 and holds the current ranking of Black Belt Professor, 3rd degree.  Professor Shepherd has won numerous awards around the world in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Vale Tudo. He is a US Nationals, European Cup and Indiana State Judo Champion to name a few. Professor Shepherd is continually training and seeking knowledge from top practitioners around the world.
